The department of Social Development initiated a project through the JDA to do major alterations and additions to an existing drug rehabilitation centre for minors. The project responds to an urgent national need for such facilities.

Amongst the new buildings would be detoxification and medical wing which would be a shared facility for smaller rehab centres in and around the city.
